Case Study
Linked Workshop

Our client approached us with a brief to build a semi permanent workshop extension that linked to their existing production facility, as they were looking to increase their on-site capacity.

Design

It was important that the proposed extension was both accessible and a suitable working environment.

Following a site visit at their premises in Enfield, where we assessed the space and undertook site calculations, we established that this would be a permanent fixture and therefore required suitable snow loading.

Working to this criteria our design team then curated a matching solution.

We designed a fully-insulated structure, which measured 23.5m x 27m to correspond with the existing structure, and sat on a 5m leg.

Manufacture to Install

We design and manufacture structures in-house from our Bournemouth facility.

The manufacturing of the aluminium frame, steel components and doors took two weeks to complete, which we then delivered to site for a speedy assembly.

We installed 80mm trapezoidal insulated panels on the roof and all outward facing walls before signing off the project one week later.

Result

Our client was delighted with the final product, which linked seamlessly to their existing facilities.

It has been fitted with steel guttering to match the insulated roof, and additional PVC Gutter to seal to the existing structure.

The new building is equipped with an electrical operated roller shutter door and two MOE doors for easy access.

The structure achieves a snow load of 60kg/m2 and wind load 102km/hr, ideal for semi-permanent occupation.
