Buildings Made in Britain

By design, our modular aluminium-framed buildings are reusable, relocatable and recyclable, making them a more sustainable alternative to traditional construction methods.

In 2008 our Quality Management System gained BS EN ISO 9001 certification and in 2010, long before many others in our industry, we achieved our ISO14001 accreditation – the internationally recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems. Upholding this voluntary accreditation demonstrates that we remain committed to the efficient use of resources and the reduction of waste across our business operations.

Meaningful Change

We welcome the significant shift towards sustainability, particularly within the Events sector. As a supplier to some of the UK’s largest events and corporate clients, we understand that is the responsibility of those across the organiser and supplier network to collaborate to create meaningful change. Across the business we:

  • Reuse more than 80% of our site timber into packing materials
  • Recycle steel and insulated materials used to clad our buildings
  • Continue to increase our carbon offset for plant hire
  • Use electric plant hire where logistically possible

Our approved supplier network is required to demonstrate their sustainability initiatives, and these are reviewed on a regular basis.

Investing in Quality

At our manufacturing facility in Christchurch, Dorset, we use imported aluminium extrusions and turn them into buildings for growing businesses and show-stopping venues at well known events.

We’ve invested more than £1.2m in new machinery to improve efficiency, reduce waste and create more capacity to support an expanding client base. In our manufacturing facility:

  • Our warehouse operation uses fully-electric plant
  • We’re continuing to increase the number of hybrid pool cars
  • All lighting at HQ is sensored
  • We collect and recycle rainwater for washing our equipment
  • Our H&S audit process is 100% paperless

We continue to discuss and implement realistic, incremental positive change.

Giving Back

We’re a business full of fun, passionate people and we actively support local charities through raising awareness and funds. Over the years, we’ve donated sponsorship packages and event tickets to raffles, joined fundraising events, held cake sales, joined cycles and sponsored runs. From April 2024, we’re supporting Macmillan Caring Locally – A charity dedicated to offering palliative end of life care to patients and their families in our local community.

Recruiting Positivity

Our approach to recruitment is different. We don’t look for grades or qualifications. We look for attitude, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude. Some of the most senior members of our team started as students or site labourers, so it’s an ethos we apply to all aspects and roles within the Company.

We actively encourage internal progression and reward hard work. Our site staff move through a structured progression path so that, no matter where they are on that path, they can see how easily they can continue to develop their careers. In our Head Office team, some of our most senior employees began as site erectors or placement students. Progression isn’t just something we talk about. It’s real.
