Physical Education is a core part of the curriculum in schools, where tennis, being one of the biggest sports in the UK, is often offered to students as a summer sport, but the benefits are felt all year round.
Despite this, school sports halls may not been designed to facilitate this sport, while outdoor courts become unplayable during the winter due to rain stopping play.
Searching for a cost-effective solution, a school enquired about the possibility of covering outdoor tennis court. Rather than invest in a full facility, we helped transform an outdoor tennis court into a covered space usable all year round.
Our experienced team supply nationwide to schools, leisure centres and sports clubs, providing the tennis space they need.
Structure width: 15m
Structure length: 35m
Leg height: 4m
Location: Devon
This tennis court cover enclosed one of the three courts and was built on a 4m leg to give plenty of height inside. However, our temporary tennis court covers are suitable to cover single, double or multiple courts (visit the Lawn Tennis Association website for more info: https://www.lta.org.uk/).
Our semi-permanent structure enabled this school to continue to provide use of its sports facility whatever the weather. Whether it’s shade or shelter required, our solutions provide you with both! From basic canopies to cover school courts, to fully enclosed padel tennis courts, we’ve got you covered.
Our solution is quick to set up and take down, to offer an easy, stow away solution during the summer months, or can remain in all year round!
Our temporary structures are made by us in Britain, and our manufacturing capability means that we can design and make a completely bespoke structure that meets your needs exactly. Have a look at our sporting facility structures page.
They are also available for hire, lease or purchase so we’ll work to your budget to find the best solution.
