Fan Zone and Entertainment Area
With plans to introduce a new Fan Zone and Entertainment Area this season, Premier League club Nottingham Forest sought a temporary structure supplier to accommodate this space.
The new structure was to be deployed outside of their Home venue – the City Ground would house both staging and a big screen to provide endless covered entertainment to travelling supporters.
Project Specifics
We were selected to design, manufacture and install a clear span canopy structure with a leg height of 6m to cover the stage.
From fabrication of the frame to production of the bespoke PVC, our team delivered an all-round solution from our own manufacturing facility in Dorset.
Our client requested roof, walls and gables to complement their brand colours and we offered to colour match this to ensure optimal brand exposure.
Its position on an unsteady tarmac surface meant structural calculations were required to advise our client on groundworks. We advised that concrete footings would be required to prevent wind uplift which would ensure a safe space for the fans, whatever the weather. Achieved Finish
From arrival on site, we delivered this project within a week and achieved their exact requirements.
The selected space consists of a 12m x 18m partially cladded structure that sits on a 6m leg.
It features a red PVC roof with printed logo on the end bay to convey both brand and prominent finish.
An open front gable provides maximum clearance, visibility and a highly-accessible space.
Our canopy design incorporates enclosed bays and gable end to entirely protect equipment from the elements.
As an additional wind management safety feature, Velcro flaps were built into the side walls that give way when the wind loading exceeds a certain pressure inside the structure.
