We’ve been supplying structures to the HAC summer and winter events for multiple years now but this ones a little different…
Due to the location of the event being in the grounds of the Honorary Artillery Company, this city central venue needs to be mindful when it comes to managing their sound levels but still putting on an excellent event.
This is where we come in.
We were asked to come up with a solution to allow this client to manage their sound levels.
As the venues we build often host a whole range of events, from product launches and networking events to Christmas parties and end of year meetings, often these events continue into the evening.
When building structures for an event like those held at The HAC, we don’t want people to notice they’re in a temporary structure, we want to immerse your guests in an event experience that the venue becomes part of.
Collaborating with our client and other suppliers, we developed an impressive sound insulation solution which has made a big difference. ‘The Dance Box’ is a truss systems built over the dancefloor and DJ booth, which is lined with large ‘pillows’ which reduce the noise dramatically. We then cover and line The Dance Box to give it a finish that fits seamlessly within the temporary venue. Once on the dancefloor, you feel like you’re inside a cool, exclusive club area!
The Dance Box retains so much of the sound within, that once you’re off the dancefloor and a few steps away near the dining area, there’s a real noticeable difference in the noise levels, meaning guests can continue conversations just a few feet away from one of the noisiest parts of the event.
Effective sound management in temporary venues requires a blend of preparation, adaptability, and creativity! Working with a British manufacturer like us means that if we don’t already have a solution, we’ll develop one. By addressing acoustic challenges, staying compliant with regulations, and making both the neighbours and your guests the priority, you can ensure a successful event… wherever it is.
This is why we receive feedback like this time and time again:
‘Every single one of the team was a credit to Mar-Key on site. Their behaviour, timekeeping and constant ‘Can do’ attitude has really helped us get through a difficult period with lots of pressure from the HAC and other suppliers on site. Every single favour that was asked of the team was fulfilled without complaint and promptly.’
