As the official structure supplier to the 2019 UCI Road World Championships in Harrogate, Yorkshire, we provided all temporary structures to ensure it was an event to remember.
UCI President David Lappartient commented: ‘Their wide experience supplying UK-based sporting events will undoubtedly be an asset when it comes to the successful staging of our biggest UCI cycling event of the year.’
Around 1,400 riders took the stage from 90 different countries, among the many staff and visitors attending, therefore appropriate facilities and hospitality space were required.
We were the sole structure supplier for the event, delivering over 30 structures in under a fortnight, which provides a testimony to our team’s hard work and dedication.
Our work included an elevated 20m x 65m curved roof structure, built utilising double deck sub frame to provide a high-end VIP hospitality lounge.
Riders required a designated area to receive food, fluids, and nutritional support. We installed a structure to cover this circuit feed zone, stretching 198m long by 3m wide.
We also provided cover for warm up and start areas, as well as multiple first aid facilities around the venue.
For greater appeal and adding to the excitement, we set up a temporary merchandise shop and fan zone, equating to an extra 800sqm of covered space.
Our delivery and installation exceeded expectations of our client and led to one of the most successful UK sporting events of the year.
We’re experienced suppliers to major sports competitions, having formed long-lasting relationships and agreeing multi-year contracts across the industry.
