Requirement
We were asked to deliver a lean-to warehouse extension for a major retail business who were about to install an automated picking system at their main facility, which would take 2-3 years to complete. It was imperative that they could continue business as usual until they were ready to fully occupy their refurbished warehouse again.
Stages
This project was delivered in a number of phases in line with the client’s needs and to cause minimal disruption to operations. We firstly installed a number of structures on a rental basis for inbound deliveries and returned items. This ensured that valuable stock remained protected at all times and that trading could easily continue.
Secondly, we delivered a 9m x 220m lean-to warehouse structure on a 4m high leg which offered a fantastic amount of temporary space. Our client then installed a concrete pad inside the structure to allow for easy pallet truck movement internally.
Lastly, we installed additional temporary buildings on the oppostite side of the warehouse building to facilitate additional goods movement and storage.
Result
We are proud to have supported with the delivery of this structure which enables the development works and subsequently the growth of a business. the modular nature of our solutions offers fantastic flexibility and allows us to adapt the solution as our clients needs change.
