For over twenty years we have supported this supermarket giant with their seasonal storage requirements.
Our structures are acquired on a hire and run-on basis to deal with an operational peak throughout the winter. The space is needed to safely store increased deliveries and reduce pressure on the internal warehouse, creating a much more manageable work space for staff during one of the busiest periods in the retail calendar.
As the chosen supplier to build additional storage units, we are tasked with erecting temporary structures at over 50 stores all around the UK.
Our team carry out a phased install between September and November, ready for our client to use the temporary structures during December.
This large operation entails complex logistics with site locations ranging from Bournemouth to Bradford and beyond! Every single build is delivered to store-specific requirements, with structures varying in size and specification, ensuring that we meet the exact needs of each location for seasonal storage.
Storage buildings are constructed on existing foundations such as unused parking bays or back of house locations, and do not require any groundworks. Most of our structures are staked to the ground for cost-effective and fast installation, but where this is not possible we use weights on the structure.
Our temporary storage solutions expand our client’s capacity and significantly ease the pressure on their permanent facilities, helping them through an operational peak.
We even designed and manufactured bespoke sliding doors to enable easy cage and pallet movement with no difficult door threshold to have to move over!
