We’ve built structures all around the world, but this one is a little closer to home…
Just 100m from our HQ, Polyhouse UK reached out to us to facilitate their new warehouse for their growing business ‘it absolutely mirrors the building we had architecturally designed’.
We interviewed their Managing Director, Marc to tell us about why he chose Mar-Key Group and temporary modular buildings for their new warehouse.
This 20m x 30m x 6m insulated warehouse has now set this business up for the next period growth. This in turn means they can increase their stock, range, efficiency, workflow and conditions for their staff.
“Everything that we wanted to achieve, this building has delivered”. Due to the insulated paneling on this warehouse, the staff will be comfortable and protected come rain or shine, making it a suitable place for them to work. Alongside this, the building is watertight and has lockable roller shutter doors meaning they can be rest assured when it comes to storing their stock within this structure.
To some this might just be a warehouse however the impact this will have on the business is second to none.
This build took a rapid two and a half weeks to build after the initial ground works went in “it was incredible”. Due to the building being a modular design, our builds take over half the time to build compared to traditional brick and mortar builds.
Although this building is referred to as a ‘temporary building’, it is not temporary in its nature and can be in situ for many years to come. Therefore, whilst these structures are built in a rapid timeframe, they are built with longevity in mind and so the execution is to the best standards.
“This building will deliver everything we need it to for the next 50 years”.
What people often don’t realise about temporary buildings is their sustainable benefits. One thing that really helped our client in the decision making process for this structure was looking into the environmental impacts of having this style of building “if we decide that we want to relocate to another site, we can up sticks and go, we can have this building put up somewhere else”
Our temporary buildings are all relocatable, recyclable and reusable, meaning they will never go to waste! The building can go wherever you go, change to fit your needs, be recycled or put in the hands of a new owner. “I’d recommend anybody considering any industrial building to forget traditional builds and look at temporary structures”.
When talking about the environmental impacts of temporary buildings, it is also key to mention that when building these structures, there is also very little disturbance to the environment. Due to its modular design and fast build timelines, the environment in which these structures are built in are minimally disturbed, meaning the environment around it is better preserved.
Our client, a family run business for motorhomes was running out of storage and needed a solution quickly. Traditional builds meant long disruption to their ever-growing business so they decided to go with us and build a clearspan temporary structure, taking less than a week to build meaning business could continue as usual!
