For over fifteen years, we have been contracted to supply a graduation venue to Middlesex University for hosting their annual ceremonies. These enable our client to utilise space they have on campus rather than hiring a separate venue.
We believe that when students take the long walk onto the stage, it should be a memorable experience. We design and manufacture temporary structures to meet those exact needs. Here’s how we do it…
Our most recent delivery included the installation of our large events frame and an additional back of house party frame. The main structure is cladded with ABS walling and a standard PVC roof, whilst the smaller structure is a simple roof-only cover for students lining up outside.
However the magic only really occurs once inside. Our 55m x 20m graduation venue is fully decorated with carpet, blackout linings and is illuminated by lighting to set the scene on impact.
We create an auditorium equivalent to an overall 1,100 square meterage of space, which is able to facilitate almost 1,500 seats and guests. The structure stands on a large 4m leg with cassette floorboards laid underneath to accommodate for the raised seating arrangement.
The overall set up features a climate control systems, high specification audio visual presentation equipment and power distribution to provide the perfect setting to send off Middlesex University graduates.
Wide double doors and ramps with handrails ensure that the structure is secure yet fully-accessible from around the venue.
The turnaround of this project is somewhat special, given that our team coordinates all aspects of the build within a week. This not only lowers the overall cost for our client but also prevents disruption to the normal running of a busy university.
