CASE STUDY: Temporary school hall
Back in 2021, we delivered a 12m x 25m temporary school hall to be used as a fitness building. Equipped with green single skin PVC walls and roof, this building did what our client needed at the time.
Fast forward to 2025, our client came back to us wanting some modifications to this building.
Luckily all our structures are easy to adapt as your businesses needs change and so this was no trouble for our team and the building was given a new lease of life.
Adaptability
When we say all our structures are adaptable, we mean it! This 12m x 25m structure has been modified with new tongue & groove overlay flooring, a thermo insulated roof and insulated steel sandwich panel walls offering a more insulated solution compared to the previous structure.
Taking just 9 days to modify! This new and improved structure will now stay in situ for multiple years to come, giving the school a more cost effective solution compared to traditional brick and mortar buildings, yet doing the same job.
How this temporary school hall will help the client
This modified structure will allow our client to carry on teaching come rain or shine. This building will be used as a PE classroom for the school but also a place for assembly’s, after school clubs and a sports stream for those children who want to immerse themselves more in sport. The modifications mean this building can work as a fully functional space, rather than just the wet weather cover it once was.
With the new modifications in tow, the building is suitable for all the students to be comfy all day long. Inside the temperature is regulated and the building is leak proof, making sure the environment is safe and secure.
How will this modified structure make a difference?
When speaking to the Head Teacher of this school, she explained that the flexibility of the temporary structure allows them to adapt as needs change and offer more opportunities to the children. The school currently lets pupils pick university courses they’d like to learn more about and these lessons are then taught within this structure as an evening class. Believing that there is more to education than the typical curriculum, this building allows the school to go above and beyond and tap into the pupils different strengths, giving them a taster into what they might like to do later in life.
This structure will make a huge impact to both the staff and pupils as learning can continue throughout the school year no matter the weather.
